In the occasion of Savannah moving on to the final round of Billboard’s Battle of the Bands, they have now updated her page, including a brand new interview with Savannah! Read a snippet of it below.
What’s the strangest thing anyone has ever said about your band?
So many people think I look like Lo Bosworth from “The Hills” and I can kind of see it. When Facebook was doing that whole doppelganger thing, I had so many friends post pictures of Lo and say, “You look so much like Lauren Conrad’s BFF.” And I’m like, “OK thanks I guess.”Why should you win this competition?
I have been trying to make it in this industry for four years and a lot of amazing things have happened, but also a lot of crazy things in the background have happened. It’s such a hard industry, it’s such an up and down roller coaster. One minute you feel so happy and another minute you feel so discouraged. So I think it would be really awesome to be able to perform for the Billboard Music Awards because it would be such great exposure and I was just be put in front of millions of people and hopefully a lot of stuff would come out of it.

Savannah just made a video letting you know about a contest she and KidzVuz is running for Zhu Zhu Pets. You can just head on over to their website and upload a video about the Zhu Zhu pets soundtrack, Zhu Zhu pets in general, about Savannah or similar. Every video counts as one entry to win a sgined photo of Savannah singing on the Macy’s parade, the Quest for Zhu soundtrack which she is featured on, and more. Last November, Savannah got to participate in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York. Now she’s helping out her friends over at Macy’s by promoting their brand new contest where you can win a trip to the recording studio to perform the national anthem and have it played on their 4th of July show in New York city! It was all the way back in February that Savannah released her album of covers on iTunes. One of the songs was a cover of Adele’s song “Turning Tables“, and now she has finally uploaded this video to Youtube! She says she uploaded it as a thank you for everyone who voted for her in the Billboard Battle of the bands. It’s a beautiful cover and you can check it out below!

Savannah won her region in the Battle of the Bands presented by Billboard, and she’s now the finalist representing the Northwest! On May 18th she’ll go to Vegas and perform there against the 5 other finalists, and the winner gets to sing at the Billboard Music Awards! Later we’ll get to see videos of her during the battle and more! So now we just wait and see.
